3 miles around the neighborhood with Cooper.  I felt great the first mile, as usual, then that knee pain came crawling back.  Ran/walk the rest, probably around 2.5 miles of running.  Decided to just run fast for one part in case I was "babying it", and man it felt good to go fast.  My legs miss that.  I just want to run how far I want, when I want, and the speed I want.  Why can't my knee just cooperate?

Missed the run with Lisa and Anya, it is just too much to not be home until 8pm 4 nights in a row.  Then I was glad because my knee would have held everyone back (especially Denali). :-)

90 minutes of Hot Yoga with Jordanne.  Went to a new place that is far away kind of (Renton) but I get another intro offer of 2 weeks for only $10.  I will definitely try to get a few classes out of that!  Hopefully it will help my knee.  Never been so sweaty in my life. 

5 days of working out, 5 days of no candy/sweets!  Even though there were some delicious looking cookies/muffins at the presentations today - I was good!

60 minutes of P90X legs and back.  My legs are going to be sooo sore tomorrow.  Plus I raked the wet leaves in the rain afterwards and my legs were shaking!  We have a bijillion leaves in our yard, even after picking up 2 yard waste bins full.

Feel so productive today!  Already did 2 of my readings, worked out, cleaned the house, raked the leaves... now off to look at kittens! :-)

1.5 miles running around the neighborhood with Cooper. Knee just barely starting to come on at the end. Then did 90 minutes of hot yoga with Jordanne.  It felt really hard today, really hot and I wanted to quit (but didn't!). But then I had a headache the rest of the day, probably from being dehydrated after sweating 10 gallons of sweat.  My hamstrings are SO sore from yesterday's P90X.

Ate lots of pizza and bad food today at book club, but 7 days of working out in a row!

My knee hurts today.  Blech.  Maybe its time to suck it up and go to the doctor, even though I feel like I know what he will say (ITB), what he will do (PT), and what the PT will do, and I am already doing those things.  So my workout streak (8 days!) comes to an end.

I got my Hood to Coast acceptance letter today!  YIPPEE!

Took Cooper on a walk around the block (.7), then met Lisa and Anya for 2.5 miles of running at Lisa's house.  My knee was done by then so they went on, SO SICK OF THIS.  I'm going to keep doing my own thing until Thanksgiving, then if its not improving I'll try the doctor again.  I found a few new exercises and I think I need to fully stop running for a little while.  So frustrating.

Around the neighborhood with Cooper.  I have missed running so much.  The smart me thought I should do 1.5, the greedy me really wanted to do 3, so I compromised and decided on 2.  The greedy me added on an extra bit of sprinting.  I'm not sure if I'm better or not.  It didn't hurt, but it was stiff afterwards.  I have been going crazy with the foam roller, hopefully that will help.

Around the neighborhood with Cooper in the SNOW!  Okay, barely snow, but tiny little flakes that weren't sticking were coming down.  Great to run, still not sure if I'm better.  A) I'm not going for enough to allow it to hurt, and b) its different when wearing the ITB strap.  So I don't know.  Hopefully its on the mend.

What a disastrous 24-hours!  Yesterday morning it started really snowing, so they decided to "suspend operations" at 12:30.  I was ecstatic!  Got to miss evening class too, so I was getting so much cleaning and chores done and loving it!  Then the wind and snow really picked up - I tried to make a snowman but it was a freezing blizzard out there (they say 9 or so with the windchill).  Then at 7:30pm the power went out.... and didn't come back on until 12:00pm today!  Let me tell you, it was 46 degrees (or less) INSIDE THE HOUSE.  It was so miserable.  This morning I tried to brave the roads to a Starbucks or McDonalds but they were out of power too and the roads were so slick my wheels were spinning and I gave up.  

ANYWAY, after the power came back on I did 2.7 miles on the treadmill!  Long story short eh?  I'm not sure how people lived before electricity and heat, but I can't.  This morning I would have killed for a gas stove so I could have cooked something hot to eat and drink.  I probably would have killed someone for some hot coffee.  We also desperately need a lantern, because trying to play cards with ONE flashlight was pretty annoying!  

I'm upping the mileage slowly, and foam-rolling like a mad-woman.  That's my strategy.

Really wanted to do my own 5K Turkey Trot this morning, so headed out down to the dog park, one loop, and one back.  Knee started hurting about 2.5 but I wasn't going to let it stop me!  Stopped at hillside and walked the rest of the way back.  Today it was hurting below the knee, where ITB meets fibula.  

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I ate waaaayyy too much.

Goal - burn off some of the pie I ate for breakfast and stuffing I ate for lunch and snack. :-)  I don't really care for the other thanksgiving stuff, but stuffing and dessert, I can't resist.

AM - 20 minutes on the recumbent bike, then we had to run off to take MIL to the dentist (she lost a tooth last night!) and out to a little Black Friday shopping.

PM - 60 minutes on the recumbent bike, stopped after 20 and 40 minutes to do squats, lunges, etc.  After 60 minutes walked 1 barefoot mile on the TM.  It was irritating the bottom of my feet like TM burn.

Yay for 4-day weekends.  They are the best.
